After attending the LKBF Latinx Storyteller's Conference from the 13-14th of September, I have a greater insight and perspective of my own place within the industry and my own identity within the spectrum of Latinx storyteller's community. All thanks to my consultant's insightful and wise words.
Ms. Aceves was not only exquisitely refined and educated in her intrapersonal skills, she was also very sympathetic and compassionate, and above all transparent, quick and to the point.
Her beauty comes from the wisdom within. Congratulations to Ms. Aceves, to all the consultants and participants of the conference, including founding members and volunteers, for the high standards of service and personalized care extended. The atmosphere in the conference was ecstatic! I am looking forward to next yeat's and to stay in touch with the community of Latinx storytellers we have access to thanks to LKBF.

Sometimes, you need to find your whole identity in the One
Film is the one art form that includes all the others! It starts with the need to express a thought process that led to an idea and the idea is created in the now. From text to premiere day. artists compose text in screenplay format at a minute per page following the norms of screenwriting. The script Breakdown comes with pain but the vision of how, where, when, why, and what comes clear. The Breakdown gives us the first realistic view. Next story board artists compose the scenes.
The director composes te shots. The cast practice their acts. The Call Day arrives. The music is sixty per cent of what you will feel. Without it, sentiment falls flat. Editors and colorists give their interpretation of the light within the composition of the scene. The sound specialists record, edit, and also interpret the scene and raise and lower sounds when it matters one or the other way.
A book is different, but it too requires many hands and artists. Editing is an art form that is usually seen as a mechanical task. But in reality it is the editor's ability to follow the vision on the page that drives them to find the right light or in this case wording. Words shed light into the interpretation of the ideas. Words are ideas.
